On Saturday 2nd October 2010 Sharpe Academy took a group of 23 students to visit BBC Television Centre in London.
Our tour included a look around the BBC News Centre, a glimpse inside several studios used for daytime television shows and a tour of the historic building. Some students also had a chance to use green screen technology to read the weather, play their own game version of The Weakest Link and read the news whilst others sat in the gallery, controlling the cameras, microphones, lights and autocue. A great time was had by all.
At the end of our visit we were also lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Robbie Williams as he arrived for his performance on Strictly Come Dancing. This was certainly a trip to repeat in the future.
