Class Information
Children in the Act 1 Musical Theatre class work on all disciplines of Acting, Singing and Dance. The 45-minute class focuses on basic technique whilst working to encourage each child's confidence levels and imagination.
Children will work on various Musical Theatre songs, improvisations, scripts and basic dance routines. Each term lasts between 10-12 weeks. Each week the children will not only recap the previous week's activities, but also learn new materials. The staff to child ratio in this class is one CRB-checked member of staff for every eight children.
Children will move up to the Act 2 Musical Theatre Class for ages 6-10, at the start of the term following their 6th birthday.
Parents are kindly asked not to stay during the class so the child can become comfortable on their own. This helps a great deal with confidence levels.

Class Information
Children in the Act 2 & Act 3 Musical Theatre Class work on a variety of songs, movement routines and scripts from musicals around the world. They master the correct technique for singing through warm up exercises, and a vast repertoire of songs ranging from Rodgers & Hammerstein to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Sight reading and harmony work are also touched upon, giving the children a greater knowledge of choir work. After a song has been taught the children then learn a movement routine.
Children in the Drama Class split their time between acting for stage and acting for the screen. They learn the basics of stage performance through scripts from plays around the world. They also devise and write their own material for performances working on accents and characterisations.
They then learn the art of acting for the camera. They will work on film and television scripts with experienced teachers, honing their skills. This class is the perfect first step to becoming an actor. Drama games and improvisations are also an important part of this class.
Children can also work in this class towards graded examinations in acting with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (please see LAMDA page for top-up fee).
